I have several packages of the EWG hooks in sizes 3 and 4. The hook shape is perfect for Texas rigging a weightless fluke. You cannot ask for a better profile. Unfortunately the wire used to make these hooks are weak where the angles are in the design. I bent my first hook today on a small snag. I thought nothing of it, replaced the hook and started casting. I lost a fish due to the hook bending and opening up. I was using 12lbs fluorocarbon. The line should have broken before the hooks bent.
These hooks are just the thing for not loosing your fish. My hook rate has really improved. This IS the new hook.
